“Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.”

‍John 14:6

The world and religion proclaim there are many ways to God in Heaven.  These groups of people believe there are many roads and several different routes that lands them in the lap of God.  Man’s opinion says one thing, but the Word of God is and should be the criteria for ALL things:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that entereth not by the door into the sheepfold, but climbeth up some other way, the same is a thief and a robber.  But he that entereth in by the door is the shepherd of the sheep.  To him the porter openeth; and the sheep hear his voice: and he calleth his own sheep by name, and leadeth them out. And a stranger will they not follow, but will flee from him: for they know not the voice of strangers.” (John 10:1-5)

Jesus Christ, The Beloved Son of God, sets the record straight that there is only one True Way to the Father and that is through Him.  No other means can allow the Lord to bring fallen man back to Himself and allow God to dwell within the heart of man.  Jesus Christ is The Only Way to God, but The Only Way to Christ is through Faith in the Cross.

“Mercy and truth are met together; righteousness and peace have kissed each other.  Truth shall spring out of the earth; and righteousness shall look down from heaven.” (Psalm 85:10-11)

The Cross is The Way to God, according to The Truth of God’s Word, through The Life of Jesus Christ.  What Christ did for us at the Cross of Calvary is the only means by which we can draw near unto God with clean hands and a pure heart.  Jesus further proclaims:

“Verily, verily, I say unto you, I am the door of the sheep.  All that ever came before me are thieves and robbers: but the sheep did not hear them.  I am the door: by me if any man enter in, he shall be saved, and shall go in and out, and find pasture.” (John 10:7-9)

The Cross is the one and only place where our Holy God can meet with sinful man and wash him clean from all unrighteousness.  Jesus Christ is the open door to receive access to God’s Salvation and Righteousness through the atonement found in the Blood of Christ.  His Blood shed on the Cross cleansed our hearts from the guilt and shame of sin allowing our souls to be fertilized by the rain of the Holy Spirit to help us live a holy, righteous life.

“Teach me thy way, O Lord, and lead me in a plain path…” (Psalm 27:11)

The Way is Jesus Christ through the Plain Path of Calvary that leads us on the upward way to the Portals of Glory.  The Way is straight and narrow, but with Jesus Christ showing us The Way, and the Holy Spirit leading The Way, we should have no problem keeping our steps between the ditches.  

“Righteousness shall go before him; and shall set us in the way of his steps.” (Psalm 85:13)
