Just A Little Talk With Jesus

March 19, 2021
“Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.”

Revelation 3:20

We were once a lost soul separated from God in sin.  We had no desire to speak with God as we had no open communication with Him before meeting Jesus Christ.  In fact, we spent most of our days wanting to communicate and seek the help and advice from our fellow man who was as lost as we were.  How can the blind lead the blind?  We did not realize exactly how lost we truly were.

Suddenly, in a glorious moment, something happened as someone found us.  There was a knock upon the door of our hearts that no one on the outside could hear.  The knock on the inside rang louder than roaring thunder and shook the foundations of our soul.  A still small voice called us by name, but the words were as the sound of many waters.  After resisting the knock upon the door moment after moment, knock after knock, we finally opened up the door of our hearts in an act of faith to welcome the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ into our hearts and lives.

Our once broken hearts were now mended and bathed in the wholesome love of Christ.  The Lord stood still as the Bright Morning Star that shined His bright light of glory into our newly awakened hearts brought out of darkness.  The Prince of Peace entered into our lives speaking “Peace be unto you” to establish the Lord’s Mercy and Grace with us.  Emmanuel had invited us to simply “Come and dine” toexperience His Eternal Communion and Everlasting Fellowship with Him.  The little talk we had with Jesus when we said “yes” to Christ and “no” to sin, opened the Eternal Prayer Line to Jesus Christ in Heaven.

The Prayer Line to Jesus is never busy, never puts us on hold, never closes, but is eternally open day and night free of charge.  Jesus paid the cost for us in full at Calvary’ Cross.  All the Lord asks is that we simply talk to Him daily in our own words, in our own way, and with our whole heart.  Whenever the prayer wheel of our spirit begins to turn, we must have a burning desire to bring it to Jesus Christ as He alone is the solution to all things in this life and the next.  The Master never sends anybody away who wishes to speak with Him and seek His Counsel.

There is no fear we have Jesus Christ cannot calm with His Presence.  There is no trouble we encounter that Jesus Christ cannot lead us through with His Hand upon us.  No cry is too loud nor too soft that Jesus Christ cannot hear.  There are no doubts nor questions in life too hard that Jesus Christ cannot answer through His Revealing Word.  He will answer by and by in His time, in a mighty way, by His Wisdom.  If we trust Him, we will find a little talk with Jesus will make everything right.

Just a Little Talk with Jesus

Now let us have a little talk with Jesus
Let us tell Him all about our troubles
He will hear our faintest cry, He will answer by and by
And when you feel a little prayer wheel turnin'
And you will know a little fire is burnin'
Find a little talk with Jesus makes it right
