I Must Decrease

“… I must decrease.”

John 3:30

Divine Praise is all about Jesus and none of us. Our self-depletion through Praise and Worship prepares the way of the Lord to human hearts. We cannot outshine Christ, and neither should we attempt to do so. It is Jesus reflecting through us that allows us to shine and become faithful disciples for Him. Only when we become emptied out of ourselves can we be gifted with the Power of God to carry out the Call of God. As we hide our talents and strengths behind the Greater Glory of our Lord, our mission in the Great Commission becomes successful.

When we decrease, Jesus is increased.
When Jesus is increased, our mission is fulfilled.
When our mission is fulfilled, we are fulfilled.

“Therefore, I am filled with joy at His success.”

John 3:29 (NLT)

The more we fulfill our call in God’s Plan, the more our joy is fulfilled when we see the life of Jesus become prevalent, not only in our own lives, but in the lives of those we share Jesus with. Allowing Jesus to increase in our lives allows us to help Christ increase and become successful in the lives of others. This is ministry. This is what allows Godliness to increase in our society. We ourselves cannot change the world.  We can, however, rock people’s world with the Gospel of Christ by telling how them how Jesus can give them joy and successfully fulfill their joy for eternity.
