Happy New Year

January 1, 2021
“Old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:17‬ ‭

Through all of the ups, downs, and broken pieces of 2020, our Divine Shepherd never once left our side.  We experienced sickness and chaos in our land, but God’s People were able to draw nearer to our Healer, our Keeper, and our Protecter.  Yes, we may have gotten discouraged through the furloughs, lay offs, shut downs, riots, and loss of loved ones, but God was always in control and provided for us all with His tender love.

During a time when we could not gather  as the Church, we were reminded that the Lord cannot be confined to a building.  God is much bigger than our scheduled Sunday morning meeting places.  The Lord was able to meet and commune with us wherever we were, and teach us to be the Church.  It was a time of worshipping in our homes, with our families, and being reminded God’s People make up God’s Church with Jesus Christ being the Chief Cornerstone.

As we gather our broken fragments over the past 12 months, we can see that the chaos in 2020 is God’s opportunity for a miraculous 2021.  Now more than ever we need to trust in the Lord and be reminded that Jesus Christ never fails.  The lessons we learned this year should make us all the wiser for the next.  Experience can be the greatest of teachers, but the toll can be heavy.  Let the experiences of this past year be an opportunity for us all to make things right with God and with one another.  This is what heals our land in 2021!
