God Brings Us Through

“Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The Lord God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments.”

Habakkuk 3:17-19

Throughout our Christian walk, we will experience different seasons during our Born-again, Spirit-filled life in Jesus Christ.  There are seasons of blessings and fruitfulness where it feels like everything we lay our hands on turns to gold and blossoms before our very eyes.  We give God all the glory; or at least we should!!  Then there are “those” seasons of drought where it feels like everything we touch withers away or our labor of love produces zero fruit.  Even then, we should give God all the glory.  God, through His Word, lets us know in Ecclesiastes Chapter 3 that “there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven.”  Through His Love and Grace, God lets us know ahead of time that there will be good times and hard times, but God will make everything “beautiful in his time.”

God never turns back on His Word.  He Promises to strengthen us through the good and bad seasons of our lives with The Supernatural Power of the Holy Spirit.  Our legs without the help of the Holy Spirit are weak, broken, and frail, but when we depend on God, He will make our feet strong, swift, and powerful to overcome and endure the rough patches in life.

When we lean upon the Promises of God and all that our Salvation affords us, God promises He will not remove us from our current season of life.  In time, The Lord will bring us through our season of life with a renewed revelation of His Holy Nature and Relentless Love toward us.  Through every rise and fall, God wishes to teach us something and make us stronger.  He wishes to teach us dependence, obedience, and trust through every season to bring us through the hardships and into the beauty of His Peace, Deliverance, and Restoration.

Regardless of the time and season we are currently enjoying or dreading, we are to continually rejoice in the Lord and trust in the God of our Salvation.  Though we wish God would remove us from the drought and place us into abundance, God is faithful.  Faith reminds us God will show up and bring us through the dry, desolate desert and into the fruitful fields of His Green, Glorious Pastures if we will cling to His Unfailing Promises.  Breakthrough is on the horizon where God awaits us with an outpouring of blessings that makes every desert drought worth enduring and overcoming.
