Christmas Blessing

December 25, 2020
“The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace.”

Numbers 6:24-26

Nothing anyone could every give you for Christmas can compare to what God provides for you through His Saving Grace.  Someone may give you a special gift this Christmas, but it is God that gives you the Perfect Gift of Salvation. This makes each day of your life a special day with an endless supply of gifts from the Lord.

God is a God of Blessing, Comfort, Love, and Peace that is incomparable to any gift wrapped and placed under a tree. The Gift of God is nothing we can exchange as God gave us His very best in Jesus Christ.  God’s Gift to us was VERY costly and beyond the measure of a dollar.  We can never outgrow the Gift of God as it is the Lord that grows us into His Glorious Image.  The Gift of God never fails, wears down, or goes out of style.  God alone makes all things new and pours out fresh Blessings upon us each day.  There is no expiration date to His Gift.  The Promises of God found in His Word and His Love, Mercy, and Grace towards us are eternal.

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.”

John 3:16

Though we celebrate the Birth of Jesus Christ this time of year, we must never isolate Bethlehem from Golgotha, or the Cradle from the Cross.  The Miraculous Birth in the manger, was only the beginning of a greater destiny to Calvary’s Cross where you and I could experience our miraculous re-birth in the Spirit.  When God gave us Jesus at Calvary’s Cross, He revealed His Heart to us.  The measure of God’s Love was His willingness to give.  God loves us the most, because God gave Jesus Christ to us as a Gift of Love for the eternal Salvation of our heart and soul.

As we gather with our loved ones to unwrap presents this Christmas, never forget the Lord is the source of all blessings with Jesus Christ being the greatest gift of them all.  We need one another’s love the most during this trying time, but we need the Divine Love of God and the Gift of Salvation the most right now.
